D'Honani composed two piano concertos, and this \"Variations on a Theme of a Nursery Rhyme,\" a work from 1914, features the melody \"Twinkle, Twinkle, Twinkle Stars\" that everyone knows after a solemn, grave introduction. The piano plays an active role in the piece, and the orchestra engages in a dialogue with the piano, ending with an overwhelming fugue. The Concerto for Harp and Chamber Orchestra is a small piece written in 1952. The harp sounds that seem to drift through the entire piece create a mysterious atmosphere. Konzertstück\", known as a favorite of the virtuoso Starker, is another beautiful piece with an extended cello melody and impressive chromatic harmonies in which the cello interacts with the orchestra. In this album, the three players play to their heart's content.
