However, he seems to have excelled only on the harp, as a critic of the same period said, \"As a harpist he had no rivals, but as a violinist he is 'the best amateur'. During the French Revolution, he was engaged in military activities as a captain in the palace of Versailles, and during his leave, he traveled from Austria to Spain playing the harp to great acclaim. Pacetti, who performs, is a talented musician who has won prizes in several international competitions and as of 2018 is the president of the Italian Harp Society, which he helped fund.
