Astor Piazzolla, the greatest bandoneon player of the turbulent 20th century, pioneered a new genre of music called "modern tango" and will celebrate his 100th anniversary in 2021. Following in his footsteps, the "Cremona" Modern Tango Laboratory, the young rebel of 21st century classical music, will pursue an unprecedented sound with a new style woodwind quartet of FL/S.Sax/Hr/Bsn, using all original scores. This is a full-length work that expresses the essence of Piazzolla's music with an outstanding ensemble that overturns the conventional wisdom of chamber music. During his lifetime, he was called the "revolutionary" and "heretic" of tango, and his nearly insane music, "Nuevo tango," and stage performances fascinated his fans.
