Description:

The highly anticipated second album from escalade, a rare piece hidden away from the 90's avant-indie label Too Pure Records and the post-rock era. It has nostalgic echoes of Stereolab, High Llamas, Broadcast, Plum, Sonic Youth, Sebadoh, etc. Members of Stereolab also guest on the album! Rob Noyes and Gutevolk also participate. A collection that expresses a sound with a commitment to acoustic equipment and gorgeous arrangements. escalade, which focuses on the sound of 90s indie rock, post-rock and British shoegaze combined. second album "fanta" by multi-instrumentalist Greg Sullivan. -REAL", he took a job at Talcott Mountain Studios, an upscale live-in recording studio in Connecticut, halfway between New York and Boston. There, he has worked on many recordings for Doug Wimbish of Living Color and other artists. He also trained in mastering. He then went on to mix Wilco's Mikael Jorgensen's debut single "X's & O's" at Soma Studios, the mecca of Chicago's acoustic school, with John McEntire of Tortoise on the B-side "Pleasure Treasure".In 2002, they traveled to New Zealand to complete their debut 10" analog "X's & O's" and produced a limited edition 10" at the Raise Cut Vinyl Peter King factory on their own. Subsequent releases on the UK LEAF-affiliated Cuckundoo Records followed, including a UK tour in 2007. In 2009, after 5 years of work, the debut album "ODO" was completed. Mastering was done by Alan Douches of West West Side in suburban New York City, who has mastered many artists' work. If "ODO" is a travel diary, the new album "fanta-REAL" is like a time capsule. The new album is a reunion of old friends and first-time collaborations, and the main work was done at Jackpot! Two of the tracks were worked on over three days at Stereolab drummer Andy Ramsay's Press Play Studios in London during escalade's UK tour. Legendary UK rock engineer Paul Tipler mixed Air Park and also finished mastering the album in 2021.Andy Ramsay produced the bass and drums for Countermeasures. For many years, to focus on other activities, the album was put in storage for eight years, and work resumed in 2018 at HeaconStudio in Fukuoka, Japan. Three years later, thanks to Corona Lockdown, the seemingly impossible-to-finish second album was completed.
