T-Connection, a quartet originally formed by Theo Kirkley, who had played maracas in a calypso band, called together his brothers and others to form T-Connection. After moving from the Bahamas to Miami, they signed with the T.K. label and released their second album (1978) on the Dash label, which included the title tune "On Fire," which became a #27 R&B single, and the classic mellow ballad "Prisoner Of My Mind. The title track, "On Fire," was a #27 R&B single, and the classic mellow ballad, "Prisoner Of My Mind," was a pleasant surprise.
