The Boccherini Trio's two albums will show that the string trios, which tend to be overshadowed by the great string quartets, are extremely well-crafted masterpieces. The Boccherini Trio's Op. 3, in particular, is an easy listening work in six movements, nearly 40 minutes in length, and is a very fine example of the 18th century classical divertimento. Violinist Kang Se-young was born in Korea, raised in Canada and Australia, and has lived in Europe since 2007. Her dripping beautiful violin sound is very attractive. Vicki Powell is a viola player born in the U.S. She has been the principal viola player of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Stockholm since 2018. Paolo Bonomini is an Italian cellist; in 2016 he won first prize in the cello section of the International Bach Competition in Leipzig.He is currently a solo cellist with Camerata Salzburg while also performing as a soloist.
