The album is a combination of works by early 17th century composer Alessandro Polietti and contemporary composer Markus Schönewolf. Alessandro Polietti, born by 1600 and died in 1683, was an Italian composer of the last period of the Renaissance and the early Baroque, and an organist at the court of the Habsburgs in Vienna.He is especially known for his descriptive keyboard music.
