Marzi is still one of the most popular violinists in the world, but due to the short period of his activity, his remaining recordings are rare and rare, and this authorized first release is a delight for Marzi fans. Both recordings are in mono, but the sound quality is very good, and the remastering is perfect. The Violin Concerto No. 4 in D major, K. 218, was one of Marzi's favorite works and was recorded in November 1952 with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks under Eugen Jochum, but this recording was made in October 1956 for broadcast.The performance is so full-toned and full of life that one is struck by the impact of the music after the first listen, and one can enjoy the performance of Marzi in his prime. The instrument used was a 1733 Carlo Bergonzi \"Tarisio,\" a gift from Marzi's second marriage partner, Daniel Schudi, and it sounds beautifully and spontaneously.
