Johannes Plamzoller's own label, Audax Records, presents a collection of concertos by Bach, Pisendel, Kress, and others, which are thought to have been performed during his concert tours at that time. Includes Japanese commentary! Johannes Plamzoller is a baroque violinist of the \"21st Century Generation\" who has made his way from South Tyrol to the world, and is a member of the Ensemble Diderot, the International Baroque Players, and his teacher Rachel Podger's Brecon Baroque. A master of the next generation, Plumzoller launched her own label, Audax, in 2013 and has unearthed much undiscovered Baroque repertoire. His latest album, entitled \"Travel Concertos,\" is a collection of various works that are thought to have been performed by the greats of the time on their cross-border tours. The pieces are mainly small in size, with simple accompaniments (so that local musicians can play them immediately), but with soloists and tutti that are fully effective. The only well-known piece on this album, the \"Brandenburg Concerto No. 5\" by the great Bach, was continually revised, and this album features the early draft of the orchestration in which Bach would have demonstrated his skills as a harpsichordist at his debut concert in Dresden in 1717. The album also includes the 18th century virtuoso Johann Georg Pisendel, who studied with Torelli and Vivaldi and was a friend of Bach and Telemann, Johann David Heinichen, Pisendel's colleague and court music director, and Johann Jakob Kress, concertmaster of Darmstadt. Johann Jakob Kress, who was a concertmaster in Darmstadt, and Paul Carl Durant (Carlo Paulo Durant, Paul Charles Durand), who was born in Pressburg (now Bratislava) and whose detailed biography is almost unknown, will shed light on unknown works buried in history (with the exception of Bach and Heinichen, which are world premiere recordings). (except for Bach and Heinichen, which were recorded for the first time in the world), and others.
