This second collection of Hooks' orchestral works by the renowned duo of John Wilson \u0026amp; SOL includes the \"Bass Trombone Concerto,\" which loosely follows the classical sonata form but makes full use of the instrument's range and allows the listener to appreciate its lyrical side, the \"Concerto for Bass Trombone,\" which Hooks wrote for the Chor-Anglais, and the The \"Even Tide\" for alto saxophone and orchestra, a re-edited version of an early concerto written by Fuchs for Cole Anglais; the orchestral version of the \"Point of Tranquility\" inspired by the painting of the same name by Maurice Louis, originally composed as a wind band version; and the \"Piano Concerto\" for bass trombone, composed for John Wilson \u0026amp; SOL, and performed by Helen Franke.
