Here, like other Jewish composers, he was engaged in composing and planning \"film music,\" and his 1943 film \"The Executioner Also Dies,\" directed by Fritz Lang, was so popular that it was nominated for an Academy Award. In this album, you can hear not only that music, but also music for \"The Grapes of Wrath\" (the music actually used was by Alfred Neumann), a small symphony, and other unusual works. This collection offers a glimpse of Eisler's true nature as a composer, who studied under Schoenberg for a time and also worked on atonal and twelve-tone works.
