This is a collection of Gluck's operatic arias, recorded and organized by the mezzo-soprano Elena de Simone herself. The works on this album were composed by Gluck between 1743 and 1745; he composed these operas at the young age of around 30, and his works were performed at important events in Turin and Milan. The collection is full of works that show the talent of the young Gluck, who could hardly have been written some 20 years before his masterpiece "Orfeo e Euridice" (1762). Tokyo M-Plus
