This is a must-hear recording made on the occasion of the quartet's visit to Japan. ＜The Arditti String Quartet was founded in 1974 by Irvin Arditti. The quartet has earned an international reputation for its outstanding interpretations of contemporary music and early 20th century works, and has performed 50 world premieres in one year. Since 1982, he has given master classes for performers and composers at the International Summer School for Contemporary Music in Darmstadt. More than 200 CDs have already been released.In 1991, \"Gramavision\" was nominated for a Grammy Award in New York City.
