The video \"Metanoia\" (Accentus Music) has been very well received worldwide. She specializes in modern, contemporary, and Brazilian works, and has a deep affection for \"Amazon Forest,\" a piece written by Villa-Lobos for the film \"The Green House\" in his later years and recomposed for a concert. This time, from the newly revised edition of Academia Brasileira de Musica, Meneses has excerpted 11 pieces (about 45 minutes) for orchestra and soprano solo voice, and recorded them as a suite version. Although there is no chorus participation as in the full version, the music is sung with grandeur, expressing the harsh nature and heat of the tropical rainforest with a large orchestra. Camila Provenzale (Provenzari), a Brazilian of Italian descent like Meneses, sings the solo soprano part, and her voice is full of depth.Also included is the final piece, \"Metamorphosis I,\" from \"Amazon Streams,\" written by Philip Glass for the Brazilian creative percussion group Ouachit and later made into an orchestral version. The looping rhythms of this piece are pleasantly repetitive. The project is also a collaboration with Sebastião Salgado, a renowned journalist and document photographer, who provided beautiful photographs corresponding to each piece of \"Amazon Forest,\" which will be displayed at the Meneses concert venue and also in the booklet of this album.
