Currently based in Paris, he has published more than 50 works, ranging from solo, chamber, and orchestral pieces. He is highly acclaimed. This album contains five works, from the early \"Trio Lamina,\" which has a Bartók-like atmosphere, to the new \"In the Midst of Things,\" which is full of colorful sounds reminiscent of Mediterranean landscapes. Although there is no clear tonality, all of the music is easy to listen to and familiar to the ear. The composer's fellow pianist Charlene Farrugia, Italian violinist Rebecca Raimondi, Austrian cellist Stefan Klopfitsch, and clarinetist Dmitri Ashkenazy form an ensemble that makes the most of Fiorini's complex score.
