The music of the Bach family on 11 discs! The Berlin Academy of Ancient Music is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a specially-priced 11-CD set of recordings of the immortal masterpieces, the Orchestral Suites and Brandenburg Concertos, as well as works by Bach's sons and Johann Ludwig Bach of the Bach family! Johann Ludwig Bach was a distant cousin of J.S. Bach. From the golden age of the Baroque era to the dawn of the Classical era, you can listen to brilliant performances by the master musicians of the Berlin Academy of Ancient Music all at once. The Berlin Academy of Ancient Music was formed in 1982 in former East Germany to perform works by Michel Bravais and others. Its performance activities are rooted in the study of ancient music performance customs. In the early days, the members, including Bach, Telemann, and Michel Bravais, followed their own interests, sometimes rehearsing in a room of the flat where Alpermann used to live.In 1984, the orchestra began a full-scale concert series, and since then its performances have been acclaimed not only in Germany but also in the world. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the ensemble began to expand its activities internationally. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, he became more active internationally, collaborating with the RIAS Chamber Choir, a prestigious vocal ensemble, for a very long time.
