The complete Beethoven piano sonatas are finally complete!\nCanadian virtuoso Louis Lortie made his return as Chandos’s leading pianist with *Louis Lortie Plays Chopin* (CHAN10588). Having joined the ranks of world-class pianists following the huge success of his “Complete Etudes” by Chopin (CHAN8482), Lorti undertook the recording of Beethoven’s piano sonatas from 1991 to 1998. The project to record the complete piano sonatas—which had been temporarily suspended with eight pieces remaining and for which a resumption had been eagerly awaited—is finally complete with the addition of these eight new recordings!\nLorti, who is also renowned as a Fazioli pianist, performs the eight newly recorded sonatas on his beloved Italian Fazioli F278 and on a 1936 Oldbora Music piano— restored in 2007, on loan from Oldborough Music in the UK. Expectations are sky-high not only for Lorti’s performance but also for the synergy between the pianos’ sounds and the works themselves!\nLorti’s achievements include winning first prize at the 36th Busoni International Piano Competition in 1984 and fourth prize at the Leeds International Piano Competition that same year. He is a world-renowned pianist who, particularly in Canada, enjoys a level of fame and acclaim that surpasses even that of fellow Canadians Amram and Hewitt.\nTokyo M Plus\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Chandos","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53595599274273,"sku":"95115161623","price":2115.0,"currency_code":"THB","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/95115161623.jpg?v=1790481863","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-th\/products\/95115161623","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
