Bach's famous religious music\n\n\n\nThis 2-CD set contains two editions of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach's church music.\n\n\n\nThe first disc, the Matthew Passion (1781), is a label transfer re-release of a recording originally released by Rondeau Production, and is performed under the direction of Beringer, who led the Vinsbach Boys Choir and made many recordings. C.P.E. Bach had a record of performing his own \"Matthew Passion\" six times, and the \"Matthew Passion\" of 1781 was the fourth performance of the work. It is a pasticcio-like Passion with many quotations from the \"Matthew Passion\" of his father, Johann Sebastian Bach, as well as works by Gottfried August Homilius and Georg Benda, interspersed with his own compositions. The Matthew Passion was included in materials withdrawn by the former Soviet Union after World War II, rediscovered by the Ukrainian Museum of Literary Materials in 1999, and published as a performance score by Bach-Alhieff in Leipzig in 2003.This recording by Beringer is one of the earliest recordings using that score, and the boys' choir's fresh, new singing is impressive.\n\n\n\nDisc 2 is the Magnificat, recorded in 1977. Helmut Rilling, an authority on Bach performance, conducts this performance, which features the star singers of the time, including Arlene Ojjeh and Kurt Eckwirtz, as soloists.\n\n\n\nThe Magnificat, composed in Leipzig in reference to his father's works before his death, is a major work in which C.P.E. Bach explored his own style and put various innovations into it, while still showing the influence of his father's works. Although there are now more recordings of this work, this performance conducted by Rilling was a very rare recording at the time. Although the style of the performance is different from that of today's classical music performances, Rilling's generous conducting and the solo singing by the splendid singers are very tasteful. Please enjoy the performance of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach's great religious works by a famous German conductor.\n\nHAENSSLER\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Haenssler Classic","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51431695614241,"sku":"881488240467","price":1492.0,"currency_code":"THB","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/881488240467.jpg?v=1751196155","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-th\/products\/881488240467","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
