Mr. Bongo presents a compilation of killer Balearic, Disco, Latin, and other classics from the popular London party tangent. John Gomez, known for his work as an NTS Radio resident and as the supervisor of Music From Memory's Brazilian compilation "Outro Tempo," and Nick the Record, one of the most trusted record dealers in the UK and a resident DJ at Life Force in Japan, will be joined by two of the UK's most respected DJs. Tangent is an underground event held by these two men, who have both a solid knowledge and an insatiable digging spirit. The duo has gained a huge following for their activities rooted in London's club culture without relying on overseas guests, and this compilation is a selection of rare and dance floor-friendly tracks from their activities over the past 10 years.The album includes the previously released Compa Disco "Kajou", the Spanish Balearic Jazz "Laberinto", the unexpected Algerian Soukous "Amek Amek", the Afro-Cosmic "Seiva De Carnaval Canada", and many others, mainly from the 80's onwards. The album covers not only the new discovery songs left over from the 80's, but also recent Asian songs such as the morram x dubstepper "Si Phan Don Lovers Rock" and the urban volcano sound "Ame no Uta (extended ver.)".
