He has introduced to the world the works of buried composers such as Bergson, Poladowski, Nowowiejski, Serotski, Noskowski, and Fiterberg in high-standard performances.\n\n\n\nThis album features works by Andrzej Panuchnik, one of the leading Polish composers of the 20th century. The \"Fantasy for Piano and Orchestra\" featured here was originally composed as the first movement of the original version of the Concerto for Piano and Orchestra (1961), and was premiered in Birmingham on January 25, 1962. Kendall Taylor, who premiered the work, advised Panufnik to agree to perform this section as a separate work shortly after the premiere, and in 1972, Panufnik revised the concerto. He removed the fantasy, leaving only two movements, the middle and the final movement.At the time, it was not published as an independent work, and in 1982 he used some of its material to compose a short \"Entrata\" that would serve as the opening to a piano concerto.
