Her first full-length album in about five years since *birdsfly* is a star-studded release featuring production by Naotaro Moriyama, Goro Ito, and Marihiko Hara. The tracks produced by Naotaro Moriyama primarily feature songs he wrote and composed himself, and he also provides backing vocals on one of them. The tracks produced by Goro Ito include original songs as well as a cover of Virginia Astley’s 1986 hit “Some Small Hope” (produced by Ryuichi Sakamoto). The tracks produced by Marihiko Hara—who previously teamed up with Moriyama on the theme song for the blockbuster film *National Treasure*—include the theme song “Lullaby” for the animated film *If I Were to Be Born Again* (directed by Asuka Tsuchiumi), as well as a track set to the poem “If I Must Die” by Rifuat Al-Arail, a Gaza-based university professor and poet killed in an Israeli airstrike. The album concludes with a cover of “Nocturne,” which Ryuichi Sakamoto produced for Chitose Moto’s 2008 album *Cassini*. This track brings together the piano track Sakamoto performed during the original recording session, creating a timeless duet.
