Pedro I was also a brilliant musician and one of the rare royalty and nobility in history who can be described as a \"full-fledged composer. When the Overture was performed in Paris in 1832, many people believed it was by Rossini. The Te Deum,\" written to celebrate the baptism of his eldest son, is dramatic and operatic. The \"Credo\" is full of joy and is one of the most frequently performed works of Pedro I. The \"Hymn to the Independence of Brazil\" was written to celebrate the baptism of his eldest son. The \"Hymn to Brazilian Independence\" was the national anthem of the Brazilian Empire from 1822 to 1831, and is still sung in Brazil today.
