He and the Tetzlaff siblings were planning to record the complete piano quartet. They recorded No. 2 in sessions on March 3 and 4, 2022, with a concert scheduled for the evening of the 4th featuring No. 2, but with No. 3 added on short notice. The second piece on this disc is taken from the session, and the third from the live performance. The latter is considered to be as close to a one-shot recording as possible, but according to Christian Tetzlaff, Folkert wanted it to be released, so it was decided to release it as a memorial disc.\n\nThe booklet (9 pages each in English and German) includes interviews with the three players, in which Christiane and Tanya compare the two pieces to \"Summer and Winter\" and \"Light and Shadow,\" respectively, with Tanya adding, \"Some people say Brahms was a strict composer who never showed emotion or got sentimental. Tanya further recalls, \"Some people say that Brahms was a strict composer and did not show emotion or sentimentality, but Lars danced, laughed, cried, and snapped at Brahms' music without preconceptions, and we played music in the exact same groove.\n\nIn June 2022, they played No. 3 at the Heimbach Festival, which Folkert presided over, but according to Christian, it was not released on CD because Folkert's deteriorating health had taken its toll.\n\n\n\n(Naxos Japan)\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Ondine","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50238299242785,"sku":"4589538814571","price":1025.0,"currency_code":"THB","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4589538814571.jpg?v=1724916213","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-th\/products\/4589538814571","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
