The works chosen are Schumann's late Violin Sonata No. 1 and three Romances. And the F.A.E. Sonata, a collaboration between Schumann, Brahms, and Dietrich. The first movement of this sonata, dedicated to Joachim, was composed by Dietrich, the second and fourth movements by Schumann, and the third movement, a scherzo, by Brahms. Later, Schumann added his own writing and completed it as the new Violin Sonata No. 3, but it is rare to hear this \"F.A.E. Sonata\" in its entirety. Here Eichhorn and Saï play with a lot of tension. And the two pieces from Wagner's \"Tristan und Isolde\" placed at the end are the highlight. The world premiere recording of this version makes full use of Psy's arrangement, and the undulating, sensual sound of Wagner's \"Tristan und Isolde\" can be fully appreciated. The domestic edition comes with a Japanese commentary by Atsushi Suzuki.
