The first piece, \"Aura,\" was written in 1993 for the Suntory Hall's \"International Composition Commission Series No. 18,\" and is a virtual symphony in four movements that encapsulates Lindberg's various approaches to the orchestra. Upon receiving the news of Lutoslawski's death while composing this piece, Lindberg dedicated it to the memory of the great composer. The world premiere of the work was given by the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra on June 11, 1994, conducted by Kazufumi Yamashita. Related Rocks\" was commissioned by the Belgian ensemble Ictus.
