This jacket, and the name of the band. As you might have guessed, the band is full of love for George Harrison, and its name is George is Lord! Lindsay Glover was based in Los Angeles and played in bands like Whiskey Biscuits and Future Pigeon. The band began when Anna Pomerantz, a friend of Lindsay's, quit her job as an interior designer to study drums with Lindsay. Anna was so taken by "Something" that she became a big fan of George and Ringo. Anna in turn taught Lindsey guitar, and together they began to play songs such as "LONG, LONG, LONG," "ALL THINGS MUST PASS," and "GIVE ME LOVE. The band was eventually formed with friend Cody Porter on bass and Sam Bruschi, one half of the popular L.A. folk duo Mapartje, on lead guitar. This is their first album, and features 10 covers of George Harrison songs, from his solo work to the Beatles. Each song is full of love for George, yet has a moderately laid-back, earthy sound.George lovers will be a must.
