The German sister duo, Leah Billinger (violin) and Esther Billinger (piano), are gaining recognition in Europe and beyond, and are now in their second release! She has performed at international music festivals around the world, including the Salzburg Festival, MDR Musiksommer (MDR Music Summer), and Davos International Music Festival. She is a gifted German woman who has been a prize-winner at the Kloster Schoenthal, Rodolfo Lipitzer, Spohr, and Jampolsky International Competitions, and won the highest prize at the Brahms International Competition in 2008, among other spectacular achievements. Pianist Esther Billinger studied under Karl-Heinz Kemmerling, a renowned German teacher who has trained many world-class pianists. She won the first prize at the 6th International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition, and her talent has attracted much attention.The duo won two prestigious competitions in 2011 (the International Chamber Music Competition in Pinheiro and the Florence International Chamber Music Competition "Vittorio Gui") and have been invited to perform at festivals and concert series around the world. Di Tanti Palpiti" is a passionate recital album of brilliant and technical virtuoso violin masterpieces by Wieniawski, Sarasate, Paganini and others, in contrast to the romantic and beautiful sound of the previous album, "Frank & Grieg (RCD 1007)".
