Formed in Boulder, Colorado, the band features ex-FLYING BURRITO BROTHERS' RICK ROBERTS and ex-taxi driver guitarist LARRY BURNETT, ex-BYRDS/BURRITO drummer MICHAEL CLARKE, ex-SPIRIT/JO JO GUNNE FIREFALL is a soft country rock band consisting of bassist MARK ANDES and guitarist JOCK BARTLEY, who also played on GRAM PARSONS' FALLEN ANGELS tour. The band's first album, "UNDERTOW", was released in 1980 and included the melancholy "HEADED FOR A FALL", the beautiful acoustic number "ONLY TIME WILL TELL", the power pop "LEAVE IT ALONE", and the single hit "STAYING WITH IT" with a female vocalist. The album also includes "CLOUDS ACROSS THE SUN" (1981), which includes the single hit "STAYING WITH IT" with a female vocalist, and "ALWAYS", which features STEPHEN STILLS as a guest on the title track and "ALWAYS", and DAVID SANBORN on the charming alto saxophone. The album also includes the pop tune "Take Me Back" with DeDAVID SANBORN's charming alto saxophone playing.
