This album features works from his middle and late years. Etna's Castle\" is a dramatic work with Faustian themes and supernatural elements, depicting the tragedy of Wilhelm, the hero torn between love and ambition, and Adelheid, who is doomed by the demonic Marquis of Orko. The spectacular climax of the third act is particularly impressive. Lucrezia\" is a two-act opera based on an ancient Roman legend. Marschner aims for an ancient atmosphere, while at the same time using an eclectic mix of styles from composers such as Spontini, Gluck, Donizetti, and Bellini. Beb (The Horse Boy) is a satirical comedy set in India, in which the cunning slave Beb robs his master of his property. In the march and ballet music, trills, staccatos, and odd ornaments create a comical atmosphere.Song King Hyalune, or The Sword of Tirving\" deals with an epic story that blends the mythological world of the Norse \"Fritjof's Saga\" with political and romantic drama. In the overture and the dances of each act, symphonic music is developed through the skillful use of wind and string instruments. The light-hearted music in the seventh scene of the first act, which reminds one of Mendelssohn, is also very attractive. The \"Engagement before the Drums, or Forgotten Mother\" is a dramatic work based on works by Adan, Krebs, and Müller, and Marschner has arranged and skillfully adapted the overture to Adan's \"The King of Ivtor\".\n\nNaxos Japan\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Naxos","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51435790860577,"sku":"4945604744836","price":19.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4945604744836.jpg?v=1751292641","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-sk\/products\/4945604744836","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
