Bach's \"Goltberg Variations\" is known as a masterpiece among masterpieces. It is a work for harpsichord (clavicembalo with two-stage keyboard), known for the anecdote that Bach's pupil Goltberg played it for a count who suffered from insomnia. The 30 variations based on the bass part of the aria placed at the beginning and at the end are elaborated with advanced counterpoint techniques and are known as one of the pinnacles in the history of variations. The 10-string guitar was jointly developed by guitarist Narciso Yepez and guitar maker Jose Ramirez III, and is one of the most popular instruments in the world. It is a common six-string guitar with four additional bass strings. It is more difficult to play, but this gives it a richer sound with more overtones. The duo of 10-string guitars on this album is \"\"Duo Sinafé\"\". Angela Krager and Dimitar Ivanov founded it in 2019 to perform Beethoven, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff works on guitar. The duo's name \"Synaphe\" means synergy. In 2020, he released an album \"Classical Fragments\" of various works including a part of \"Golteberg Variations\", and now he tries to play the whole piece and gives a breathtakingly wonderful performance.
