Rare recordings of the Salzburg Festival: Mozart rehearsals and performances by Paumgartner, who was president of the Salzburg Festival for 12 years. The entire city of Salzburg was in mourning. As a musicologist, Paumgartner actively introduced Mozart's then-unknown works, discovered scores, and made other significant contributions to the popularization of Mozart. During the rehearsal, Paumgartner himself played the piano and demonstrated the articulation of each motif in a clear manner. The recording alternates between rehearsal and performance, and is an interesting document. King International
