Description:
The complete piano works of Roslavets, described by Stravinsky as "the most interesting Russian composer of the 20th century. Under the Soviet regime, Roslavets was repressed for decades as a "counter-revolutionary and bourgeois composer" who wrote avant-garde works that actively adopted Western musical language and sometimes wrote articles on Schoenberg's "The Clown Possessed by the Moon. Despite his self-criticism, Roslavetz's works were not immediately restored after his death, but have gradually gained popularity since the 1990s thanks to the efforts of the composer's niece, Efrosinha. The Russian pianist Andrushchenko, who studied under Alexei Lyubimov, performs all of Roslavets' piano works, which he explored innovative sounds throughout his life. Naxos Japan
