Most of the original works are concertos for two or more violins (with strings and bass continuo), but the sound created by playing them on mandolin is very unusual and fascinating. It is conducted by Dorina Frati, who also plays mandolin herself. The last piece, originally a concerto for mandolin, also offers an even more elegant sound.
