The Vienna Philharmonic New Year's Concert is held every year on January 1. The New Year's Concert is one of the most famous classical music events in the world and is broadcast from Vienna's golden Musikvereinsaal to more than 90 countries around the world via TV and radio, reaching 500 million viewers. In 2020, Andris Nelsons, Music Director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Music Director of the Gewandhaus Orchestra, will make his first appearance.
