Elephant Gym, a three-piece band from Taiwan that has been active worldwide as one of Asia's leading indie bands, has released its fourth album "WORLD" on the 10th anniversary of its first EP and in preparation for a world tour including Japan! Elephant Gym is a three-piece band from Taiwan that has toured throughout Asia, Europe, and the U.S. Their performance at Fuji Rock Festival '22 last year was a hit in Japan, and their subsequent tour was a great success. They are now one of the most influential Asian indie bands. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the release of their first EP "BALANCE," and as a band with activities spanning the globe, Elephant Gym is releasing a full-length album under the name "WORLD. The title "WORLD" was chosen to reflect the band's commitment to the music of the past ten years. The title "WORLD" indicates not only that the band has gone global, but also that it has transcended various genres and boundaries. The title "WORLD" represents the band's desire to transcend the boundaries and limitations of borders, race, nationality, gender, musical genres, and so on. The album features a wide variety of artists from around the world. Feather" features TENDRE from Japan and Whyte from Taiwan, an R&B singer who has emerged in recent years, and each artist adds a completely different melody and lyrics to Elephant Gym's instrumental music. The double bass track "Name" features Seiji Kameda, bassist of Tokyo Incidents, who has greatly influenced the band members; "Happy Prince" features YILE LIN, one of Taiwan's most famous singer-songwriters; and Indo-Canadian Shashaa Tirupati sings "Jhalleyaa" in Hindi. The album also includes a song with a horn section, which was performed at Fuji Rock and caused a great sensation.The CD will be distributed in Japan in a limited edition with a live DVD, available only in Japan, and will include a 5-song mini live DVD. The DVD includes footage from the previous DREAMS in Japan Tour held at Ebisu Liquid Room in November 2022.
