A remarkable album with three different organs played at the Organ Park in Amsterdam! Ad Perpetuum JSB Memorium\" album by viola player Karsten Dobers and organist Loïc Marie. Hindemith's \"Funeral Music\" (a four-movement work written by Hindemith in memory of King George V of England upon learning of his death. The final movement quotes the chorale \"Before Thy throne I walk\"). The recording project began when Dovers asked Marie to play the \"Funeral Music\" with the organ. From the chorales that appear in \"Funeral Music,\" Dovers and Marier came up with the idea of juxtaposing chorales composed by J.S. Bach with original works based on those chorales. It is also noteworthy that he plays three different organs in the Organ Park on this recording. Although the work is timeless, the dialogue between the viola and the organ creates a unique world.
