On the way home from the opera "Lucia di Lammermoor", a group of bourgeois acquaintances are invited to a home party. However, the servants of the mansion have all left, leaving the butler behind. Dinner is over and dawn breaks, but for some reason they cannot leave the drawing room. As time goes by, people become exhausted, water and food run out, fights break out, and suicides occur. A soprano singer suggests that they reenact what everyone was doing when the situation began, and the moment they are able to reenact that moment, they are all finally free. But the disaster did not end there... Based on Luis Buñuel's surreal and satirical 1962 film of the same name, the piece premiered at the Salzburg Festival in 2016, was performed at the Royal Opera House in London in the spring of 2017, and at the Metropolitan Opera House in the fall of 2017, receiving high It received critical acclaim in the New York Times and elsewhere.
