Thus, BEEBE GALLINI was formed!\n\n\n\nThe original all-female lineup included Minneapolis garage bands The Cav Girls and Sally Sweet of The Blue Up.\n\nLater, the original lineup morphed into a mixed gender band, and the group released a 45 on Ramo Records.\n\nThis caught the attention of Boston record label RUM BAR RECORDS, which would release the BEEBE GALLINI album Pandemos. The collection was well received, ranging from garage nuggets to hits and originals by the BEEGEES of the 60s. Producer and drummer Travis Lamin brought the group to the legendary Kay Bank Studios in Minneapolis.In this studio, everything from DAVE DUDLEY's \"Six Days on the Road\" and THE FENDERMEN's \"Muleskinner Blues\" to THE TRASHMEN's \"LegendarySurfin Bird\" and Soma Records' \"Big Hits Of Mid America\" on Soma Records. The early GUESS WHO also recorded here, and their name was also chosen for this building! Travis' idea for the record was to re-record Minnesota garage classics originally recorded there in the same room and invite his garage rock friends, THE GESTURES' \"Run Run Run\" and THE ACCENTS' \"Why.\" Keith Passerson (ex-THE FUNSEEKERS, THE SPECTORS, THECONQUERORS) on lead guitar.Melanie Vammen of THE PANDORAS played organ solo on THE HIGH SPIRITS' I Believe, and Russell Quan of THE MUMMIES, FLAKES, and DUKES OF HAMBURG fame sang lead on THE KAN-DELS' Cry Girl Russell Quan of THE KAN-DELS fame sang lead vocals on THE KAN-DELS' Cry Girl. The session was a huge success and evolved into a full-length album, Begged, Borrowed and Stealed, which includes songs by DAVE DEE, DOZY, BEAKY, MICK \u0026amp; TICH, OTIS REDDING, BEEBE himself, and many more, including a wide array of material from outside the Minnesota boundaries!
