However, among these, concert arias, canons, and ensembles—as well as arias composed as insertions into other composers’ operas—are often overlooked. Because they stand alone, they do not enjoy the same performance opportunities as Mozart’s more cohesive vocal works, such as his operas and sacred music. This production, which combines these diverse works into a structure resembling a single opera, is a wonderful gift for Mozart fans.
