Piano Concerto No. 2 is an early work by Beethoven; it possesses a refined charm more strongly influenced by Johann Christian Bach than by Mozart, and is part of the standard repertoire. However, the piece in E-flat major, WoO 4, was composed when Beethoven was around 14 years old and is rarely performed. Sophie-Mayuko Fetter, who has performed in Japan, plays this piece—sometimes referred to as “No. 0”—on a 1806 Broadwood fortepiano, recreating the sound of the era. In addition, the unfinished Concerto in D major—sometimes referred to as “No. 6”—is believed to have been composed around 1814–1815. Approximately 70 pages of sketches remain. Had it been completed, it would have been a magnificent work that further developed the brilliance of No. 4 and the power of No. 5, but Beethoven abandoned it partway through for some reason. Here, please enjoy the version completed through reconstruction by musicologists.\nNaxos Japan\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Oehms Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53525301952801,"sku":"4589538746698","price":29.0,"currency_code":"SGD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4589538746698.jpg?v=1789730728","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-sg\/products\/4589538746698","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
