The long-awaited 12-inch record, featuring the 2026 remastered original version of *FadeOut* alongside previously unreleased remixes by an all-star lineup of artists—including Haruo Chikada & OMB, Soichi Terada, and Hiroshi Fujiwara—will be released by U/M/A/A in the fall of 2026.

“FadeOut,” which can be considered the cornerstone of “Japanese techno kayō” — a genre currently being reevaluated and experiencing a revival boom among European diggers — will also be distributed in Europe by the prestigious club music label RushHour. Kyoko Koizumi had this to say about “FadeOut”: “Back then, when I sang it on TV music shows or during tours, everyone’s eyes would go wide. I clearly remember singing while thinking, ‘Come on, everyone—keep up!’ (laughs). But while my existing fans would be taken aback, when other people heard it, they’d think, ‘This song is cool!’ Back then, DJs would play it a lot. So the fact that Mr. Chikada made that bold, decisive shift in direction at that point was truly significant. If Mr. Chikada had said at the time, ‘You’re an idol, so let’s stick to pop,’ I wouldn’t be where I am today.” Source: Ongaku Natalie, “Delving into Shibuya-kei Vol. 14”

For the jacket design, we enlisted Misa Kono—one of Japan’s leading visual directors, renowned for her distinctive work in advertising and art direction—resulting in a visually captivating vinyl release. As a Japanese cultural icon who continues to evolve to this day, this limited-edition, rare vinyl record commemorates the invaluable contributions of Kyoko Koizumi—known as Kyon2—to the Japanese underground scene.

Tracklisting:

1.Fade Out
2.Fade Out (LUNASUN Remix by Haruo Chikada & OMB)
1.Fade Out (Soichi Terada Remix)
2.Fade Out (MOODY STRINGS MIX)
