She composed orchestral, chamber, and instrumental music, songs, and music for film while working as a librarian at the Sibelius Academy at a time when the general public was still considered prejudiced against \"women composers.The \"Piano Concerto in D minor\" and \"Symphony No. 1 in B-flat major\" session recordings (Hansler Classic HC-23050) were recently released, and have received increasing attention in recent years. The \"Orchestral Suite No. 2\" is a suite of four pieces from the score written by Finnish avant-garde and experimental filmmaker Nyrki Tapiovaara (1911-1940) for his 1937 film \"Juha\". The Coming of Spring, Umoresque, Lullaby, and Epilogue.
