Trio Accanto is a collection of trio works with an unusual combination of saxophone, piano, and percussion instruments. It has a history of 25 years. All of these works were composed for them. This CD was recorded in the presence of the composers. Aperghis' piece is a thrilling piece of music with a perfect balance that is truly a tightrope walker. Rihm's piece is a delightful piece with various descriptions, including a section reminiscent of the bustle of a bazaar. Scherhorn's piece is based on a chant from the Sinaia monastery in Romania. The Mirror Box is a magical world that will make you hold your breath as you listen to the mysterious sounds of percussion instruments made with various tools and the special tones of a prepared piano, which are constantly heard in extremely low tones.
