Miles Davis "Milestones" released in 1958, reissued by Mobil Fidelity on SACD hybrid disc, a milestone work that established the modal method together with "Kind of Blue," in which Cannonball Adderley joined the golden members of the first period. John Coltrane and Red Garland also showed rapid growth, and Miles' trumpet was in top form. The impeccable and powerful sound is heard throughout the entire work. Miles' playing, with its familiar theme melody and minimal number of notes, is a joy to behold.
