Recorded at Real World Studios, founded by Peter Gabriel, Gregson achieved his ideal sound by running the cello through his own synthesizer and utilizing every sound the cello could produce. The result is a collection of poetic and atmospheric pieces that definitively express Gregson's artistry. The order of the pieces reflects the actual order in which they were composed and recorded. Furthermore, each piece relates to the form that the next piece will take.For example, the dreamy \"Share,\" which Gregson sees as a natural opening track, sets the stage for the percussive \"Prism.\" The active \"Prism\" then leads into the more dense and introspective \"Ritual,\" which prompts the uplifting rhapsody of \"Constellation\" that follows.
