The three musicians are Keith Emerson, a keyboard virtuoso; Greg Lake, a talented singer/composer/guitarist; and Carl Palmer, a drummer whose dynamic playing has made him one of the leading figures in the progressive scene. The three exceptional talents of Emerson Lake & Palmer, who began their career together in 1970, are the pioneers of progressive rock, captivating the world with their overwhelming world view and outstanding ensemble, and have carved their name into music history as a supergroup. The band is a "legendary" progressive rock giant that has etched its name in music history as a supergroup.Their classic live recording album "PICTURES AT AN EXHIBITION", released in 1971, is now available in white analog to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its release. This 50th anniversary limited edition white analog release features the original master tapes remastered in 24-bit high quality format and remastered by renowned rock mastering engineer Andy Pearce. The packaging has been reproduced as closely as possible to the original gatefold analog packaging. The album is known as one of the greatest progressive rock albums of all time and features Emerson Lake & Palmer's legendary stage performance at Newcastle City Hall on March 21, 1971.The excitement of the performance on stage of Russian composer Mussogursky's suite "Pictures at an Exhibition," with its bold rock arrangement and overwhelming technique and ensemble, is captured in this recording, and its vivid sound continues to have a powerful impact even today. The final song on the album, which reached #3 on the UK charts and #10 in the U.S., is "Nut Rocker," which was performed as an encore during the concert.
