Lack's varied tones richly depict the world of these spirits as depicted by composers such as Debussy, Takemitsu Toru, and Reinecke using the sound of their flutes. After graduating from the University of Melbourne, he studied at the Royal College of Music in England and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He was a student at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and was a contracted flutist for the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the Vienna State Opera for many years.He has been invited as guest principal conductor to many world-class orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, NHK Symphony Orchestra, and others. He has given a wide range of concerts and recordings. In 2006, he recorded a CD as a member of the Thomas Christian Ensemble, which won the prestigious German Recording Industry's Best of the Best Award. He has participated in many music festivals including the Pacific Music Festival (PMF), Tyrol Music Festival, Salzburg Festival, etc. He was the first flutist of the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra in 2005, and later became the assistant principal flutist of the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra in 2008. His first album \"Tafanel: Supreme Fantasist\" was released from Camerata Tokyo in February 2017, and was selected as a special selection by \"Record Geijutsu\" magazine.
