The Second was composed upon hearing of Tchaikovsky’s death and stands as a work that seems to carry on the legacy of the elder composer’s Piano Trio.\n\nAlthough these are early works written before Rachmaninoff turned 21, these two piano trios, filled with expressions of mourning, are music with a completely distinctive style. The technically demanding piano parts and brilliant melodies clearly point to the direction in which Rachmaninoff would mature as a composer. The first trio, “Trio in D Minor,” which follows a single sonata form, shows no signs of having been inspired by any specific tragic event. The second trio, titled “In Memory of a Great Artist,” was written upon receiving news of Tchaikovsky’s death in 1893.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Naxos","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53595560214817,"sku":"4945604574235","price":104.0,"currency_code":"RON","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4945604574235.jpg?v=1790481652","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/en-ro\/products\/4945604574235","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
