Richter repeatedly splits and mirrors computer images of abstract paintings, further abstracting the work and ending it with a plain strip of color. Reich's music, attached here, reflects Richter's visual changes while maintaining Reich's strict minimalist musical structure, shifting from a four- to sixteenth-note pattern, then to eight, then to sixteen. As the number of pixels in the film increases, so does the number of quarter notes. Midway through the film, the image changes from 512 to 1064 pixels, making the image larger and more \"lifelike.\" The music, in turn, slows down. Then, as the pixel count begins to decrease, the music reverts to faster eighth notes, then sixteenth notes.
