This time, Bruckner's Symphonies No. 4 \"Romantic\" and No. 8 are performed, but since the original editions were still unpublished at the time they were performed, both pieces are performed in revised versions. This is the only live performance of No. 4 by Walter, and this recording of No. 8 is the only known performance of Walter's. The sound quality is that of the original acetate recording. Although the sound quality is not perfect, the original acetate disc contains some parts that are difficult to hear, but this is a valuable recording in Walter's discography and a valuable document in the history of Bruckner performances. In these days of rising prices for everything, this 2-CD set is also available at a \"one price\".
